So the title of my blog has some hidden meaning to it. Trek has a couple of different meanings to me and so does wilderness. I thought it would be interesting to have title that sounded catchy, but also had some meaning to me. I wanted it to sound original and not bland. So, now onto looking a bit closer at the title.
So, as I said Trek has two meanings to me. First “a trek” is like a journey. In this way you the reader will be taking a “journey” with me. My posts will be a “trek” through what is going on in my mind. Secondly Trek (with a capital T) is a brand of bicycle. If any of you know me I am into bicycles. (I currently own 4 and 3 are Treks.) As I go throughout my life I will be taking “a trek” while riding my Trek bicycles.
Wilderness also has a double meaning. First off I live in the wilderness. Living out here in rural Alaska is pretty much the middle of no where. There are no stores, movie theaters, or any sort of major entertainment out here. It is the wilderness and the wilderness will walk through town a lot. Second I look at my life as being a “wilderness.” It can be a wild and dangerous place. You never know what might be waiting for you around the corner. Wilderness it is place I live and it is how I live.
